Welcome to Cincinnati Salsa Festival 2008
The festival will be held on Friday and Saturday, September 5th " 6th 2008. It will become a three day event in the next following years. The very first Cincinnati Salsa Festival has worked out to be a great Chicago/Cincinnati celebration. Friday will start with workshops all day at the Step’n Out Studio in Covington, KY, finalizing with a Pre-party with DJ Lexus from Chicago, DJ Aikon from Cincinnati, and two performances; one by Andy Cruz / Griselle Ponce and the MetaMovement Dance Company.
While the Cincinnati Reds are going to be playing the Chicago Cubs from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM at The Great American Ball Park on Saturday (9/6/08), the Cincinnati Salsa Festival will be entertaining the entire family with activities focusing on the youth from 12:00 – 3:00 pm, young adults from 3:00 – 5:30 pm, and then everyone from 5:30 – 11:00 pm, closing the festival will be legendary salsa headliner "Lalo Rodriguez", a three time Grammy Winner! That's not all; following the festival will be an After-Party featuring two live bands, "The Salsa Chicago Mambo All Stars", "Son Del Caribe", plus DJ Lexus from Chicago and DJ Aikon from Cincinnati.
The very first Cincinnati Salsa Festival is guaranteed to be a fully packed event with thousands of spectators enjoying the certified attempt to have the largest Salsa Class in the "Guinness Book of World Records". Come join us in what is guaranteed to become one of the Tri-State’s area legendary yearly events.
